Role Overview

This internship is focused on building advanced recommendation systems and solving real-world problems using machine learning at scale. It’s best suited for PhD students who want to apply research in areas like generative AI, search, and large-scale systems to real products used by millions.

Key Responsibilities

Work on machine learning models for recommendations, search, and discovery systems Build prototypes and run experiments on large-scale datasets Apply research ideas (like generative models or multimodal AI) to real-world systems Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy ML solutions into production Solve complex problems related to ranking, retrieval, and content understanding Contribute to improving user experience across the platform

Qualifications & Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C++, Java, or similar Experience working with machine learning models and large datasets Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures Research experience with published work in recognized conferences or journals

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

Deep knowledge of machine learning and recommendation systems Strong coding skills and ability to build scalable solutions Experience in conducting research and implementing it practically Ability to work on complex technical challenges independently Comfortable working with large-scale data and systems

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

Experience in generative AI, multimodal models, or LLMs Knowledge of ranking systems, auctions, or marketplace optimization Background in search systems or content discovery platforms Prior experience with production-level ML systems
